I have been able to transfer resources between the planets I own.
I have also been able to defend a new colony planet with ships from the Capital planet.
Is there a way to balance out the total inventory of ships between the various planets?
I'd like to be able to remove excess ships from the fleet listing on my Capital planet and give them to the new Colony.
In real life this is done all the time, but I haven't found a way to do it on this game.
I tried "Deploy", but it gives an immediate return time to anything I try to send away. Kinda like a yo-yo.

Hmm kind of, doent make sense at all, the only fleet that has yo-yo explanation is spy propes when scanning.
And what do you mean with - balance out excess ships between planets? What exactly are you trying to achieve?
Do you mean to have excess ships fit under the FAS?
Deploy mission is the only feature to transfer ships to other planets/objects. you can also send to defend objects then deploy later.

If this is confusing you, then you could say its a bug with deploy mission, just ignore it.

It is not a bug. Deploy may be recalled, or it may fail if the object is teleported or destroyed. The return time is shown to support these cases, however exceptional they may be.
