Gravity Wave, Gravity wave from pirate station destroyed fleet

Description:
I destroyed a pirate station in orbit around my planet. I was hitting it with gravity gun and simultaneously using destroy ability of (1)Deathstar, (1) Supernova Star and (1) Jouann. When the pirate station was destroyed it had a gravity wave that destroyed the three ships as well but had no effect on my station that was using gravity gun. It has been my understanding that gravity waves only came from destroying planets. Is this a bug?
Actions required to repeat the problem:
Destroy an OPS while using both a gravity gun from a space station and a fleet of (1) Deathstar, (1) Supernova Star and (1) Jouann using destroy ability.

Meanwhile your flagships were sitting on OPS which was destroyed, thats mean all what was on OPS is destroyed too.
